Tempo Club is about more than fundraising, but fundraising is a necessary evil and vital to the success of the music programs in Fairfield. Tempo Club annually provides more than $50,000 towards the expenses in the music department. Budgeted items include music, instruments, clinicians, scholarships, contest entry fees and much more.

General fundraising supports the overall budget of the Tempo Club. We have several efforts each year that contribute to these goals, and we ask all families in Tempo Club to either participate in the fundraisers or they may choose the Buy-Out option instead. Please note: Calendar Day is more than just a fundraiser. This is a community service and communication effort, and we ask that all students in the music programs participate in Calendar Day each year, even if you choose the Buy-Out option. Tempo Club and the individual groups both offer Individual Fundraisers as well. The individual fundraisers help subsidize the costs of trips, camps, music lessons, instruments and other music related expenses. Each of the groups (Band, Choir and Orchestra) will occasionally offer individual fundraisers as well, and you can find out more information about those fundraisers on those parts of the website.
