Fairfield HS Show Choirs Win Big at Lebanon! |

On Saturday March 21, the Fairfield High School Show Choirs, "Choraliers" and "Pure Elegance," traveled to Lebanon, OH to compete in the Lebanon Show Choir Classic. In the preliminary round of competition, the all-female show choir "Pure Elegance" took 1st Runner-Up in their class with Kristina Stoddart chosen as their best performer, and "Choraliers" took Champion in Class A with Eric Smith chosen as their best performer. The top six finalists were announced and both groups were chosen to participate in the evening Sing-Off. "Pure Elegance" was the only all-female group chosen along with the five mixed (male/female) show choirs.
"Pure Elegance" finished with an overall Second Runner-Up placement, beating out top mixed show choirs from the area including Middletown, Ross, Edgewood, and Hamilton. "Red Hot" from Hurricane, WV was named First Runner-Up, and our "Choraliers" finished with an overall Grand Champion award and swept all caption awards including Best Costume, Best Show Concept, Best Tech Crew, Best Instrumental Accompaniment, People's Choice Award, Best Choreography, and Best Vocals!
All three Fairfield show choirs will be leaving next Thursday, March 25 to compete in Show Choir Nationals held at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee. Best of luck to all our competing groups as they head to National competition!

Rhythm Express, Fairfield's 7-9th grade show choir, began its season Friday, January 15 at the Beavercreek Midwest Invitational in Beavercreek, Ohio. Shayla Gragston was chosen as the group's outstanding performer, and the group took home awards for Best Vocals, Best Choreography, Best Band, and overall Grand Champion of the contest!
Rhythm Express continues competition season 2010 at the South Dearborn Showcase in Aurora, IN this coming weekend. A big congrats and thank you to all the students, parents, and loyal show choir fans!

On Saturday, November 22 the Fairfield High School show choirs, "Pure Elegance" and "Choraliers" ventured to the Southmont High School Show Choir Invitational in Crawfordsville, Indiana. The show choirs debuted their contest shows to great acclaim!
Fairfield's "Pure Elegance," an all-female show choir in their third year of competition, garnered awards for Best Female Solost- Addie Bagford, Best Performer- Megan Smith, Best Vocals, and Grand Champion women's show choir!
The Fairfield "Choraliers" had the top score in the preliminary round of competition, also taking the People's Choice Award, and trophies for Best Visuals and Best Vocals. Robby Stimmel was recognized as their outstanding performer.
The Choraliers dominated yet again in the Finals round of competition, winning the Overall Grand Champion award. The next competition for the Choraliers will be January 10, 2009 when they travel to Marysville, OH to compete in the Marysville Showcase. A big thank-you to all the students, parents, and fans who made the first competition such a success!
